Dan Tate is a composer, pianist, and teacher. He performs often alongside Utah Symphony cellist Hannah Thomas-Hollands. He has collaborated with some of the finest musicians in Utah, including members of the Utah Symphony and music faculty from USU, BYU, the University of Utah, UVU, and SUU.
Passionate about music education, Dan has over 15 years of teaching experience and offers lessons in composing, arranging, songwriting, and piano to students of a wide variety of ages and abilities. His students have won top awards at state composition competitions through the Utah Music Teachers Association and the Music Teachers National Association.
Dan studied piano performance and pedagogy with world-renowned teachers Seymour Bernstein, Gary Amano, and N. Jane Tan. He has received many awards and holds degrees in piano performance and philosophy. He lives in Logan, Utah.
